When Did CONTROL Resonant Release?

CONTROL Resonant launched digitally on September 24, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC through Steam and Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW. The physical PS5 and Xbox editions are scheduled for October 15. Remedy plans Mac versions through Steam and the Mac App Store later in 2026, without an exact date. Remedy confirms the digital game is out now.

Bought the game but it still looks locked?

1. Check that the signed-in account is the account that bought or redeemed the game, and that the library item matches the intended platform and edition.
2. In the store or console library, check for a pending installation or update. The September 24 unlock has passed, so a pre-launch countdown is no longer useful for diagnosing access.
3. If the item remains unavailable, compare the purchase receipt, region, and entitlement with the storefront's support page. A physical order for October 15 is not a digital September 24 entitlement.

For Windows players, the PC requirements guide covers hardware and current driver issues. For version and patch questions, use the updates page. A successful store download does not establish that a particular post-launch fix is installed.

What happened to preload and early access?

These were launch-period benefits. Remedy announced global launch timing on September 18 and announced Steam preload on September 22; eligible Steam pre-orders could preload before September 24. PS5 Digital Deluxe advertised up to 48 hours of early access before the standard digital launch. Neither preload nor early access is an added benefit of buying the game today. The editions comparison separates lasting Deluxe content from expired launch incentives.

When can I buy a physical or Mac copy?

Remedy moved the physical console release to October 15, 2026, separately from the digital launch. Before ordering, check your regional retailer's platform, disc or download-code description, delivery estimate, and included extras. A store can ship later than the publisher date.

Mac is a separate later-2026 release plan, not a Windows purchase guarantee. Remedy has not supplied a firm Mac day or hardware requirements in the sources checked here. Wait for the official Mac listing before judging compatibility from the Windows GPU table.

Sources and verification

Checked October 1, 2026 against Remedy's out-now announcement, its worldwide platform announcement, the Steam listing, and Remedy's Steam announcements for the historical unlock and preload posts. The physical and Mac dates are publisher plans; retailer availability and Mac specifications require a later check.
