CONTROL Resonant PS5 Performance Mode

CONTROL Resonant will offer PS5 players a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS and a separate Quality Mode. What was confirmed for PS5 Pro?

Makkonen did not present a finalized PS5 Pro specification. Asked whether the game would be optimized for PS5 Pro, he said it should be, added that it plays well, and said he did not have actual figures to share yet. That is encouraging development status, not a firm statement of resolution, frame rate, PSSR, or a PS5 Pro-only mode.

Do not use a trailer uploaded in 4K as proof of shipped PS5 Pro output. Compression, capture hardware, and marketing masters do not identify the console's selectable render modes.

What this means for buying and playing

The standard digital PS5 release is confirmed for September 24, 2026; the physical PS5 edition follows on October 15. PS5 Digital Deluxe also advertises up to 48 hours of early access, which is separate from graphics-mode support.

At launch, compare the installed version number, the selected mode, display refresh rate, VRR state, HDR settings, and the same demanding location before judging performance. A comparison that labels its settings can distinguish a mode choice from a patch, TV, or capture limitation.
